Marc Ellis is hiring for a Big Data Engineer
The location is Abu Dhabi.
It is a 12 Months extendable position
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related preferred.
– Minimum 5 years experience as a Big Data Engineer
– Experience in big data environments (also advising best practices/new technologies to Analytics team).
– Experience in Storing Data in systems such as S3, Kafka, Elastic search.
– Familiarity with the basic principles of distributed computing and data modeling.
– Working knowledge of message queuing, streaming processing, and highly scalable data stores.
– Scripting or programming skills.
– Experience in large-scale Analytics, Insight, Decision Making, and Reporting solutions, based on Big Data technology
In-depth knowledge of Spark, Kafka, Airflow, Apache NIFI, Apache Atlas, Avro, Parquet, ORC.
– Understanding and experience of Search Data applications/platforms such as Elasticsearch
