Qualifications, Experience & Skills
• Employment: full time

• Professional Accounting Designation
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university with a major in accounting/commerce
• Minimum five years experience in technical accounting, policy and/or financial reporting
• Strong organizational and communication skills with an attention to detail
• Experience with Oil & Gas related service companies in UAE.
• Familiar with Client accounts & accounting web portals
• Experience in accounting software (Zoho, Sage, Oracle, etc.)
• Fluency in English and MS office
• UAE VAT experience is mandatory
Key Accountabilities
• Technical Accounting/ Policy Assist in the research of proper accounting guidance for non-routine transactions.
• Assist in the development of Corporate Accounting policies.
• Assist in the Balance Sheet allocation for the annual goodwill impairment test.
• Assist in preparation of slides for the delivery of Finance Essential training.
• Assist with various special projects and support other Finance functions as necessary.
• Business Development Assist in general ledger coding for potential business acquisitions.
• Support changes to Goodwill quarterly. Maintain appropriate documentation for business acquisitions.
• Co-ordinate recording of business acquisitions and due-diligence as necessary.
• Derivative Accounting Prepare analysis of Currency Gain loss by currency monthly. Prepare analysis of Intercompany exposure reported to actual intercompany balances.
• Coordinate explanations of material intercompany exposure variances with responsible personnel.
• Maintain reporting entities and contacts in Access database.
• Liaison with Treasury personnel regarding discrepancies between forecasted currency gain loss and actual gain loss.
