Job Position – Accountant

Here below are the job responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:
– Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
– Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
– Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
– Perform account receivable functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
– Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards
– Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
– Prepare and submit monthly/quarterly or yearly financial reports
– Maintains records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactions; and ensuring legal requirements compliance.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
– 1-3 years of relevant experience working in accounting and bookkeeping
– Thorough knowledge and understanding of Accounting Standards
– Proficient skills in Accounting Software preferably Xero, Banana, QuickBooks, Zoho, and Microsoft Excel
– Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
– A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
– Strong verbal and written communication skills (English)
