Job Position – Accountant
Company Name – Dubai Sports City
With a background in the Hospitality industry to join the DSC team.
The role will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, processing financial transactions, preparing reconciliations, and supporting timely financial reporting.
The successful candidate will also assist with month-end closing activities and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and applicable tax requirements.
Skills & Qualifications:
– Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Accountant, with previous experience in the Hospitality industry.
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or a related field.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, bank reconciliations and financial reporting.
– Experience in preparing invoices, payment requests, receipts and other financial documents with previous experience in a hospitality industry is preferred.
– Good understanding of daily financial transactions, revenue reconciliation, month-end/year-end closing and UAE VAT requirements.
– Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Excel and accounting/ERP systems and experience with Micros and Concept is an advantage.
– Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
– Good communication, organisational and time-management skills with the ability to work effectively with different departments and meet deadlines.
