Job Position – Accountant

Location: Sharjah, UAE

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in UAE & GCC accounting practices and be well-versed in UAE regulations.

Responsibilities:
-Summarizes the current financial status by gathering information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.
-Substantiates financial transactions through thorough document audits.
-Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending relevant policies and procedures.
-Finalization of accounts, preparation of audit files.
-Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
-Prepares payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
-Handle VAT and corporate tax filing, ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations.
-Reconcile accounts and ensure financial records are complete and up-to-date.
-Assist with financial analysis and reporting to senior management.
-Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
-Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
-Provide support across multiple branches, including occasional travel.

Qualification & Experience:
– Education Mandatory: Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
– Experience: Minimum 7-10 years of experience as an Accountant or in a similar position in the UAE and GCC region.
– Strong knowledge of UAE VAT and Corporate tax.
– Expertise in using Microsoft Dynamics, GP and ERP accounting software.
– In-depth accounting knowledge, including account finalization, audits and tax compliance.
– Proficiency in Advanced MS Office, especially Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
– Willingness to travel within GCC branches as required.
