Job Position – Accounting & Tax Manager

Join their office in Dubai, UAE
As a Senior Manager, you will be heading Audit, Bookkeeping and Tax services with a dedicated team of 4-5 members.
You will play a pivotal role in growing the Firm by identifying new prospects.
This role will encompass managing the complete relationship with the firm’s clients, ensuring the delivery of exceptional, top-tier client service.
Will be directly reporting to the firm’s Partners.
Key Responsibilities
Bookkeeping and Financial Management
Oversee and manage all bookkeeping clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations.
Review of bookkeeping processes, consolidations (where applicable), and financial statements
Using and reporting from cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)
Develop bespoke management reports with the use of third party applications such as Fathom, to provide in-depth analysis of clients’ businesses
Enhance service delivery by leveraging technology to improve processes where applicable (Should be aware about accounting automation apps such as Dext, Pemo, Plutocard)
Tax and Compliance
Lead and grow Tax (VAT and CIT) and Compliance functions ensuring full responsibility and accountability
Stay up-to-date and ensure compliance with changes in tax laws
Manage international tax compliance for clients with global operations, if applicable
Review VAT and Corporation Tax computations
Oversee the accurate and timely filing of tax returns, and ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all tax-related activities
Audit
Performing, supervising and reviewing Audit work in the light of International Financial Reporting Standards, Other Technical Standards, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other local laws and regulations as may be applicable
Planning and analyzing of external / internal audits, assessing the business risks, ensuring adequate business risk management activities and compliance to policies and procedures
Qualifications
An Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
10+ years of experience in an Audit, Tax and/or Advisory role
In-depth knowledge of IFRSs, local regulations and guidelines
