ASU is expanding its estimation team:
1) MEP Estimation Manager
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead MEP estimation (Mechanical, Electrical, ELV) from concept to tender.
– Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, risk, VE options, and bid submissions.
– Review tender documents, manage RFIs, and evaluate/negotiates vendors & subcontractors.
– Ensure compliance with UAE standards and handover to project teams.
Qualifications
– Bachelorโs Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
– 13โ17+ years MEP estimation experience (Tier-1/EPC preferred).
– Strong UAE/GCC market knowledge.
– Proficient in estimating tools, Excel, FIDIC, and local authority standards.
2) Senior Electrical Engineer โ QS/Estimator
Key Responsibilities
– Lead electrical estimation for MV/LV power, lighting, earthing, cable management, switchgear, and lightning protection systems.
– Execute QTOs and cost build-ups for switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, cabling, and lighting.
– Review SLDs, load & panel schedules, cable sizing, and specs; raise RFIs and clarifications.
– Source and evaluate vendor quotes; prepare priced BOQs, technical qualifications, and bid inputs.
– Coordinate electrical interfaces with mechanical and ELV disciplines for scope completeness.
Qualifications
– Bachelorโs degree in Electrical Engineering.
– 8โ12+ yearsโ experience in electrical estimation/QS
– GCC experience with UAE authority standards (DM, DEWA, DCD, ADCD, ADDC), IEC/BS/IEEE.
– Proficient in PlanSwift, CANDY/CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, AutoCAD/Revit; basic Dialux/Relux and ETAP familiarity.
3) Senior ELV Engineer โ QS / Estimator
Key Responsibilities
– Lead ELV estimation for residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.
– Perform QTOs and pricing for ELV systems (FA/VA, CCTV, ACS, BMS, PA, structured cabling, IPTV/SMATV, intercom, detection systems).
– Review layouts, risers, and schedules; ensure compliance with UAE authority and civil defense requirements.
– Source and evaluate vendor quotations; coordinate ELV interfaces with electrical and mechanical works.
– Prepare priced BOQs, technical clarifications, compliance matrices, and VE options.
Qualifications
– Bachelorโs degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation Engineering.
– 8โ12+ yearsโ experience in ELV estimation/QS with strong systems knowledge.
– GCC experience with solid understanding of UAE authority requirements and NFPA/BS/EN standards.
– Proficient in PlanSwift, CANDY/CostX, Bluebeam, Excel, and AutoCAD (ELV layouts).

4) Technical Architect
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and coordinate architectural shop drawings (concrete, blockwork, finishes).
– Lead BIM coordination and clash resolution with Structural and MEP teams.
– Manage high-rise architectural interfaces (faรงade, transfer slabs, core areas).
– Handle architectural RFIs, material submittals, and consultant approvals.
– Ensure compliance with project specs, UAE Life Safety Codes, and local authorities.
– Provide technical support to site and oversee as-built documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.
– 8โ15 years of experience, including 5+ years with a Tier-1 UAE contractor.
– Strong experience in high-rise or complex mixed-use projects (50+ storeys).
5) Technical Manager
Key Responsibilities:
– Lead and manage multidisciplinary technical teams (Architecture, Structure, BIM).
– Oversee shop drawing production, coordination, and compliance with IFC/BIM standards.
– Resolve complex interdisciplinary clashes for high-rise critical elements.
– Review engineering strategies and temporary works methodologies.
– Act as primary technical liaison with Clients, Consultants, and Authorities.
– Drive value engineering, manage RFIs, and support claims, variations, and EOTs.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Architecture.
– 15+ years of experience, including 8+ years in senior leadership with a Tier-1 UAE contractor.
– Proven leadership in high-rise or large mixed-use developments.
6) Technical Structural Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare and coordinate RC and structural steel shop drawings.
– Lead structural BIM coordination and clash resolution.
– Manage high-rise structural elements (transfer slabs, core walls, vertical systems).
– Review temporary works and construction-stage structural requirements.
– Handle structural RFIs, consultant comments, and approvals.
– Provide site engineering support and manage as-built documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
– Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
– 8โ15 years of experience, including 5+ years in the UAE with a Tier-1 contractor.
– Experience in high-rise residential or mixed-use projects (50+ storeys).
