Job Position – Cake Decorator

Responsible for the day-to-day tasks of bakery, food preparation, baking, cooking, and decorating. The role requires creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads.
- Follow recipes and standards to produce high-quality pastries according to kitchen specifications.
- Ensure that all pastries are of consistent quality and presentation.
- Taste products during preparation to maintain flavor and quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry kitchen and associated equipment.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of pastry supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh and stored properly.
- Adhere to all food safety regulations and cleanliness standards.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent certification.
- Specialization in pastry and baking preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a pastry kitchen.
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen is a plus.
- Proficient in various pastry techniques and baking methods.
- Strong understanding of dessert presentation and plating.
- Ability to innovate and create new dessert recipes and presentation styles.
- Strong sense of flavor profiles and trends in pastry.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with kitchen staff.
- Strong focus on quality, consistency, and attention to detail in both preparation and presentation.
