Job Position – Chief Accountant
Required for a leading company in Kuwait,
From inside Kuwait only
Responsibilities and Duties
-Perform financial analysis and reporting to management as needed.
-Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
-Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
-Evaluate computerized accounting systems and recommend performance improvements to the IT team.
-Generate financial reports and statements to Managers for review.
-Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
-Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues determine budget variances, and report the same to management.
-Respond to accounting inquiries from management in a timely fashion.
-Guide other Accountants when needed.
-Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities for assigned accounts.
-Assist in auditing activities by providing necessary information and preparing requested documentation.
-Monitor and record financial transactions according to company policies and regulations.
-Review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance, any additional qualification will be considered.
Min 3-5 years relevant experience in financial & management accounting particularly in Retails,
Relevant experience in audit and costing is advantageous.
Excellent strategic planning skills and ability to interact with all levels.
Good MS Office skills and powerful capabilities in MS Excel.
Able to work independently and highly meticulous.
