About the job

To undertake the continuing, leading, planning, directing and monitoring of the Finance activities for the Group and be responsible for the day to day management of finance function and ensure financial and regulatory reporting is complete and accurate.

Ideal candidate would have atleast 15 years work experience in Financial / Management Accounting, the last 7–10 years must have been in senior leadership role in a reputable Oil & Gas Company/ EPC Contracting Company. Must have current/previous work experience in the UAE.

Responsibilities

·       Manage all financial operations including the production of all accounting, end of year accounting, reports, all aspects of budgetary planning and control, cash management and invoicing processes.

·       Review the internal controls, financial and accounting policies and procedures

·       Develop and contribute to business planning including annual budgets

·       Ensure the production of financial and management reporting based on the requirements

·       Organizes the preparation of annual budgets and cash flow projections

·       Oversee all financial planning budgeting and forecasting

·       Ensure consolidation and financial statement preparation for multiple entities, analysis of current accounting standard changes on the business, monthly, quarterly and yearend financial reporting

·       Oversee corporate and financial compliance policies

·       Establish and implement short- and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies.

·       Ensure close adherence with national and international financial regulations, particularly VAT and tax authorities

·       Manage the annual budget and strategic business planning processes, working closely with the CEO, and key operating managers

·       Develop and contribute to business planning including annual budgets

·       Assist in formulating the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives

·       Understand and mitigate key elements of the company’s risk profile

·       Construct and monitor reliable control systems

·       Recommend and/or set financial guidelines

·       Ensures that the financial and regulatory reporting are completed in an accurate and timely manner and that all finance staff are aware of deadlines.

·       Review the financials for accuracy and completeness, investigate differences

·       Review financial reports for conformity with accounting principles, and regulatory guidelines

·       Takes responsibility for all external banking relationships for cash holdings, cash assets and cash liabilities.

 

Education

Degree in Finance, Preferred MBA with a CPA OR CA
