A global leader across the financial services space.

On their behalf we are looking to hire a IT Server and Datacenter administrator on a 12 month rolling contract.

Responsible for management and administration of the Server infrastructure including Servers, Storage, Operating systems and related licenses. The role will also be responsible for managing the administration of the datacenters in Dubai and IT rooms at all the locations across Gulf locations.

Your Responsibilities

  • Manage specific infrastructure aspects related to the AWS cloud infrastructure and design .
  • Manage server environment with Windows 2003/2008/2012R2/2016 Servers and Unix/Linux operating Systems.
  • Microsoft Outlook Exchange 2007/2010/2013/2016 and Office 365 Administration.
  • Manage ESX hosts, Hyperconverged platform (preferably Dell VXrail), HP Blade servers and related hardware, VUM, NAS and SAN storage (preferably HP 3Par).
  • Should have strong hands-on experience in installation, configuration, and administration of components in large VMware environment centered around best practices, to include vCenter, VMware Update Manager, vCenter Operations Manager& vCenter Orchestrator.
  • Managed multi-vendor virtual infrastructure maintenance, support, troubleshooting and repair for physical and virtual machines (hypervisors) and VDI during on-boarding and transition to external support.
  • Ability to administer, maintain, and troubleshoot Storage Area Networks (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS) attached to VMware environments
  • Experience in Storage Migration & assigning LUNs.
  • Ensure update of anti-virus definitions and security patches on Windows and Unix/Linux systems.
  • Manage server and data backup using Veeam and NAS/tape backup as per the established policies.
  • Should be familiar with Datacenter operations (manage the physical environment and operation of DC equipment)
  • Maintain Incident Management controls of Data Centre (Relating to Incident Management tickets of Server/ storage).
  • Monitor and Maintain server room including the physical and environmental controls like Access Control & Temperature control. This also includes maintenance of IT rooms in the branches and offices at different locations across Gulf.
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders and management of projects related to data center
  • Vendor coordination – OEMs and system integrators – on AMC renewals, new equipment purchases.
  • Responsible for the provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of virtual machines, cloud instances, IT systems hardware and software and other related infrastructure in AWS cloud environments using Cloud Formation.
  • Provision, administer and optimize AWS workloads. Automate environment deployments in AWS using Cloud Formation; building and supporting a highly available and multisite environments.

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 6 plus years’ experience in the relevant role
  • 1 plus year experience in the role of Cloud infrastructure management.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) – Server
  • VMware Certified Professional qualification
  • ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
  • AWS Certified Sysops Administrator
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification
  • CCNA Certification
