Design Manager Jobs in Dubai
Hiring for a Design Manager for a rail project in Dubai.
Education:
Bachelor’s in civil engineering from a reputed university;
Master’s in Structural Engineering, Engineering Management or Project management or related discipline is an advantage
Requirements:
· At least 15 years of experience in engineering management (10 years in the UAE)
· Experience in RTA project is mandatory
· Rail or Metro experience is mandatory
· Must have prior experience in team management
Responsibilities:
1) Experience and knowledge in preparing and reviewing rail structure design;
2) Manage a team of Structural Engineers and CAD technicians;
3) Provide structural solutions to construction team and sub contractors;
4) Review and provide technical inputs for procurement and material quality team;
5) Ability to present and discuss design packages with Client and authorities;
6) Provide technical inputs to interface, system assurance and stakeholder teams;
7) Ability to read and apply technical specification requirements and contractual obligations;
8) Ability to draft technical-contractual letters and provide support to commercial team.
Other responsibilities:
1) Providing engineering support to the project team for technical input during the procurement process
2) Providing engineering support to the project team for technical input during the claim process
3) Reviewing change proposals raised by the sub-consultants
4) Ensuring that design packages developed by the Design Consultant have been reviewed by the appropriate personnel within the Design Team prior to being submitted for approval to the engineer
5) Ensuring that the interdisciplinary coordination has taken place during the Design Team review process
6) Providing engineering support to the project team for the handover process
