Job Position – Electrical Estimation Engineer

An Electrical Estimation Engineer Who can Join Immediately .
Responsibilities:
-Responsible for managing all monthly project cost reports.
-Prepares cost estimates from design conception to basic design as requested for project purposes
-Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures costs data is allocated correctly within the construction environment
-Updates organizational cost standards on a regular basis for new projects
-Tracks market prices for construction costs, equipment, material and labor .
-Analyzing blueprints to determine wire lengths as well as suitable outlet placement based on electrical codes.
-Determining the amount, type, and cost of materials and fixtures needed for each electrical project.
-Determining the amount of labor required to complete each project.
-Determining the potential profitability of electrical projects to assist management in making sound bidding decisions.
-Providing viable solutions to increase project profitability.
-Completing and submitting competitive project bids in accordance with established guidelines.
-Regularly updating cost databases to accurately reflect fluctuating material and labor costs.
-Evaluating labor and material costs to determine whether it is more feasible to construct electrical components or sub-contract the construction of components.
-Preparing estimates and breakdown of new items, if no existing item available in the BOQ.
-Undertaking contract administration of subcontractors; tasks including preparing contract, preparing BOQ, verifying subcontractor interim payment applications, variations and agreeing on subcontractor final account.
-Communicates with the Foremen to have accurate estimate on the maximum productivity of the workers in order to minimize the labor expenses on pricing.
-Quantity Take-Off for all Electrical Services including electrical system, ELV system, Fire Alarm, Emergency Light System and different types of tender drawings
-Prepare/ analyze new drawing revision, estimates cost & quantity take off for all change items (variations orders additional amount / cost savings).
-Prioritize RFQ’s that require more time to get quotation and major cost items.
-Prepare & send RFQ for all the items to all the approved equal suppliers / sub-contractor to obtain required quotations
Experience: Minimum 5 yrs in UAE mainly in construction industry
Requirements & Qualification:
-Bachelors in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
-Must have knowledge in Plan swift software
-Knowledge in CANDY software is added advantage
