Responsibilities:
– Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger accounts, balance sheets, and income statements.
– Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
– Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
– Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
– Monitor project costs, budget utilization, and cash flow.
– Assist in the preparation of project budgets and forecasts.
– Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.
– Collaborate with project managers and engineers to track project expenses and invoicing.
– Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits.
– Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and compliance with tax regulations.
– Prepare and submit financial reports to management and stakeholders.
– Assist in the development and implementation of financial controls and processes.
– Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to accounting and finance in the contracting engineering field.

Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as ACCA, CPA, or CMA are preferred.
– Proven experience as an Accountant in the contracting engineering field.
– Strong knowledge of accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards.
– Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
– Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP or Oracle, is a plus.
– Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
– Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Knowledge of project accounting and cost control principles is preferred.
– Familiarity with contract management, billing processes, and project invoicing in the engineering field.
– Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
– Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
– Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
