Job Position – General Accountant

This is an all-round accounting role for someone who enjoys working across different areas of finance.
If you’re detail-oriented, confident handling payments and reconciliations, and comfortable taking ownership of your day-to-day responsibilities.
What you’ll be working on:
Preparing daily cash positions across group bank accounts
Processing supplier, payroll (WPS), and intercompany payments
Performing bank reconciliations and clearing reconciling items
Managing bank correspondence and account documentation
Reconciling petty cash and corporate cards
Supporting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
Posting cash, bank, accrual, and prepayment journals
Supporting month-end closing activities
Preparing schedules for audits and VAT returns
Keeping financial records organised and audit-ready
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
2–4 years of accounting experience
Experience with bank reconciliations and payment processing
Working knowledge of AP, AR, and GL
Basic understanding of IFRS and UAE VAT
UAE accounting experience is a must
Experience with cloud accounting systems — Zoho is preferred
Good Excel skills
Strong attention to detail and reliability when handling cash and payments
