Job Position – Head Chef
Industrial catering experience required minimum 2 years in the same position.
Location: Doha, Qatar
Preferably Noc/Transfer visa
1. Menu Planning: Develop menus that cater to the specific needs and preferences of the industrial clients. Consider factors like dietary restrictions, cultural preferences, and budgetary constraints while designing menus.
2. Food Preparation: Oversee the food preparation process, ensuring that meals are prepared efficiently, safely, and according to the established recipes and quality standards. Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
3. Supervision: Manage a team of kitchen staff, including cooks, assistants, and support staff. Provide guidance, training, and instructions to ensure that tasks are completed effectively. Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and address any performance issues.
4. Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels of food and supplies, and monitor their usage to minimize wastage. Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing of ingredients and kitchen equipment.
5. Food Safety and Hygiene: Implement and enforce strict food safety and hygiene standards in compliance with relevant regulations and best practices. Train staff on proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures to prevent food borne illnesses and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
6. Quality Control: Regularly inspect food preparation and service areas to ensure that the highest quality standards are met. Taste and evaluate food items for flavor, texture, and appearance. Address any issues promptly and take corrective measures as needed.
7. Budgeting and Cost Control: Work closely with management to establish budgets and cost targets for food and labor. Monitor expenses, analyze variances, and implement strategies to control costs without compromising on food quality.
8. Client Relations: Collaborate with clients or representatives to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide excellent customer service. Adapt menus and services based on client feedback and preferences.
9. Menu Development and Innovation: Stay updated with culinary trends, industry developments, and customer preferences. Continuously enhance and diversify menus to keep them fresh, exciting, and competitive.
10. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling of kitchen equipment, adherence to fire safety protocols, and safe disposal of waste materials.
