The person appointed will join the senior leadership team (SLT) and work collaboratively to develop highly effective and cost-efficient provision and outcomes for this growing school. The post involves taking overall responsibility for pre-KG, KG 2 and KG 2with corporate support from the SLT. The post holder will also contribute to whole school development in an area relevant to school needs and their expertise.
The standard aimed for in the current School Improvement and Development Plan 2022-23is to secure at least the ‘good’ criteria described by KHDA in its school inspection performance standards.
Purpose of Post:
-To work with the Owner, Principal and staff to plan the future development of the school with particular reference to 1) the leadership of Phase 1 (Pre-KG and KG) and for 2) an agreed whole school aspect
-To provide leadership in assessment teaching and learning through their role on SLT and in Phase 1 classrooms.
-To ensure the highest possible quality of education by leading via co-teaching in classrooms, so as to sustain high rates of progress for students across Pre-KG to Grade 1
-To work on induction issues with parents for children entering Pre-KG and KG and to secure progression for children entering into Grade 1.
Qualifications
Please note no appointment will be made for a person who cannot meet the essential qualifications listed below.
Essential:
-Effective teaching and learning skills for coaching and modeling for teachers in classrooms
-Successful teaching experience in KG phase in a school of at least 4-years duration
-Teaching qualification acceptable to KHDA in Dubai
-Clear and unambiguous communication skills in English
-Clear understanding of UAE National Agenda
-Good inter-personal skills to support effective communication.
Desirable:
-Additional qualifications or skills fitting for taking responsibility for a cross- phase aspect as agreed
