Job Responsibility:
· Ensures the safety of employees, visitors, sub-contractors and its clients
· Assists the HSE Manager in complying with current health and safety legislation and/or regulations with the objective of ensuring that all reasonable and proper measures are taken to protect the safety and health of employees, site personnel and visitors.
· Increases health and safety awareness at all levels within the organization
· Investigates and report on complaints of hazardous working conditions to the HSE Manager.
· Responds to employees’ safety concerns
· Conducts, as necessary, the safety inspection within AqualiaMace facilities.
· Implements the engineering as well as administrative operational controls to ensure that there are no unwanted incidents lead either to injury or ill health
· Coordinates with HSE Manager to identify the personnel protective equipment required to safe guard the employees from the RISK to ensure the use of personnel protective equipment and ensure that no employees perform the work without using the required personnel protective equipment
· Ensures that only trained operators operate the project execution equipment and lifting equipment.
· Displays the safety instructions where required.
· Trains the staff to adhere to the safety instructions and to use the personnel protective equipment
· Identifies and carries out the HAZARD-RISK analysis to determine the risks involved in the activities; and communicate the hazards and risks to the concerned personnel
· Maintains the first aid boxes with all required medicines.
· Monitors the works in progress in confined spaces and ensure that “Permit to work” is issued to the personnel who perform the work in the confined spaces.
· Implements the operational control procedure to ensure the safety of employees / subcontractors working in the confined spaces
· Coordinates with HSE Manager to identify the potential emergency situations

Academic Qualification: Bachler’s Degree / Diploma
Knowledge & Experience:
· Familiarity in the field of Water Treatment or Sewerage Plant
· Basic Computer Applications
· Well knowledge in local and international EHS Rules and Regulations.
· Safety Trainings applicable for company employees working in Sewerage Plant
· 1-2 years UAE experience as a Safety Officer
