The University of Doha for Science and Technology is inviting nominations and applications for the position of IELTS Coordinator in the Admissions and Registration Directorate. Reporting to the Head of the Testing Center, the IELTS Coordinator must be a proven leader with the skills and expertise necessary to support the Admissions and Registration Directorate in fully implementing the university’s mission and vision.

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) (Formerly known as College of the North Atlantic – Qatar) is the first national applied University offering applied Bachelor and Master degrees in addition to certificates and diplomas in various fields.

UDST has over 50 programs in the fields of Engineering Technology and Industrial Trades, Business Management, Computing and Information Technology, Health Sciences, Continuous Education and development and more. Duties & Responsibilities:

This position requires an energetic and enthusiastic individual who will coordinate and ensure the quality of UDST’s IELTS test preparation courses in order to support the expansion of the UDST’s business. S/he will also support UDST management in identifying new business opportunities.

Candidates will assist in management and oversight of the IELTS finances/budget, contribute towards smooth operations of the UDST’s IELTS Centre and pay an active role in the development of the IELTS offer countrywide.

Candidates will provide IELTS guidance and expertise to both customers and colleagues, provide support in recruiting and implementing a training program for examiners and other IELTS staff, as appropriate, to implement the tests successfully and ensure the security of testing, with particular regard to IELTS and UKVI regulations.

Candidates will ensure an appropriate environment for testing is provided at all times, promote and ensure quality teaching and effective learning of English and support the wider aims of UDST and its cultural relations mission.

Candidates will ensure that all IELTS staff maintain up-to-date knowledge, and receive training as appropriate, of British Council regulations and UDST standard procedures.

Qualifications

Education and Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required

Experience:

Minimum 4 Years Of Relevant Experience.

Language:

Fluency in written and spoken English language, Arabic is an asset.

Other Required Skills:

Good organization skills with a high standard of professional integrity. Knowledge of recruitment, admissions and registration processing is required. A proactive can-do attitude to work and good time management is essential. The ability to think analytically and solve problems and good attention to detail is required. Commitment to positive relationship building and effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation is required. Candidates should demonstrate explanatory communication and interpersonal skills. Fluency in English is required.
