Job Description:
Provide effective, timely and accurate network solutions for new and existing design initiatives covering Layer 1, 2 and Layer 3 topologies, Radius and QoS. Ensuring standardisation across networks is supported and cost effective scalable solutions are produced.
Produce and implement designs that provide high levels of service availability and end user performance.
Produce and implement designs which meet agreed service targets, resilience and restoration requirements.
Liaise with suppliers to confirm design assumptions/supplier capabilities and to support implementation and testing activities.
Ensure designs meet requirements relating to Architecture, Legal/Regulatory, Data Protection, and Security.
Ensure designs are peer reviewed.
Raise and carry out change requests out of hours.
Interact with lifecycle support teams to ensure designs are fully accepted into an operational environment.
Provide accurate Enterprise Network Design consultancy to approved projects.
Support and initiating process improvement activities.
Ensure networks and infrastructure elements are correctly capacity managed.
Ensure the Enterprise functionality / hardware is fit for purpose and is correctly capacity managed.
Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical & Electronics) / Telecommunications / Computer Science/ or related fields.
A minimum of 5 years hands on experience building and configuring complex networks
A strong understanding of IP and associated protocols
Hands on experience with Juniper networking technologies
Hands on experience with Sandvine networking technologies
Solid knowledge of TCP/IP principles and familiar with network protocols such as BGP/MPLS/OSPF/MPLS.
Deep understanding and experience in product delivery or maintenance service: Router, switches, WLAN, firewall.
Experience in technical services for solutions: Campus Networks, Wide Area Networks, and Data Center Networks.
Certification holders of HCIE, CCIE, CCDE are preferred.
Experience of working within a data network carrier / service provider environment.
Good presentation skills with an outgoing personality.
Good communication skill as team player.
Fluent in English language.
