Job Position – IT Desktop Engineer

Key Responsibilities
End-User Support:
- Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
- Assist users with IT-related problems, inquiries, and requests.
Hardware And Software Maintenance
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Perform software installations, updates, and patches.
- Conduct regular system and software audits to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
Network Support
- Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of local area networks (LAN) and wireless networks.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and resolve them in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with network administrators to ensure smooth data and voice communication.
Security
- Implement and enforce security measures to protect systems and data.
- Educate end-users on security best practices.
- Assist in the monitoring and resolution of security incidents.
Documentation
- Create and update documentation for IT processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, and licenses.
Collaboration
- Collaborate with other IT team members to address complex issues and projects.
- Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide effective solutions.
Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with industry trends and technologies.
- Propose and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT support services.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in providing IT support and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems, hardware, and commonly used software applications.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
