Job Position – IT Help Desk Technician
Company Name – Alm Ict
Location: Doha, Qatar
• Set and enforce agreements with users about how quickly issues reported to the Help Desk will be resolved.
• Look at how well the Help Desk is doing and find areas where there are problems, then come up with solutions to make the service better and prevent future issues.
• Review the performance of Help Desk staff, handle disciplinary actions if needed, and decide on things like pay raises and promotions.
• Make plans for how money will be spent and keep track of expenses for running the Help Desk.
• Work with other departments to find and buy software that the Help Desk staff and clients will use.
• Research new products, services, and standards related to Help Desk technology to make sure we’re using the best tools.
• Talk to vendors about buying new technology, make sure it gets installed correctly, and fix any issues that come up.
• Manage incoming calls and messages to the Help Desk, making sure users get timely and helpful responses.
• Create and make sure everyone follows rules for handling requests and escalating issues to the right people.
• Fix problems with computers in person, like installing software or hardware, making backups, and setting up systems.
• Check that fixes actually solve problems and look for ways to improve them if needed.
• Use online resources like software updates and FAQs to help solve problems.
• Keep track of what kinds of issues people are reporting to the Help Desk and make reports about it.
• Decide if any changes need to be made to systems based on the kinds of issues people are having and suggest improvements.
• Develop and run training programs to teach users how to use computers better on their own.
Education & Certification:
University degree or diploma in the field of computer science, information sciences, or related field and minimum 3 years equivalent work experience.
Certifications in Cisco, Microsoft, and Cisco are added advantage
