Job Position – L2 Linux Admin

Monitoring and tuning performance

Handle escalated system-related issues from L1 teams and provide timely resolution.

Perform advanced troubleshooting for servers, storage systems, and operating systems (e.g. Linux).

Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective actions.

System Maintenance and Monitoring:

Monitor system health and performance using tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar platforms.

-Able to handle most of basic to advanced calls in User, group management, system start-up, patch management, service modification, file system management
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including, firmware updates, and system backups.
Ensure systems are operating optimally and securely.

Configuration and Deployment:
-Installing and configuring application software
-Good knowledge of HP & Dell hardware troubleshooting.
-Working with vendor for replacing parts.
-Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages

Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions. Generate reports on system performance, incidents, and changes for management review.
Work closely with L3 engineers to escalate complex issues and implement advanced solutions. Coordinate with vendors and service providers for hardware replacements and support. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
Minimum 6-10 years of experience in system engineering or IT support roles.
Hands-on experience with server hardware, storage systems, and operating systems.
Strong understanding of Linux administration, Patch Management, Vulnerability fixing.
Server build using PXE boot, RAID configuration. OS upgrades,
Familiarity with storage technologies (e.g., SAN, NAS) and backup solutions.
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios) and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
Certifications (Preferred): RHEL Certification or equivalent.

ITIL Foundation Certification.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle pressure effectively.
Shifts: Rotational shifts, including 24/7 support as required.
Tools: Exposure to industry-standard monitoring and ticketing tools.
