About the job

The Learning and Development – Business Partner will be working closely with the Director – Human Capital, towards implementing the Learning and Development agenda for MAF Fashion, spanning across corporate and frontline learning.

This role will manage the training needs analysis, design, delivery and evaluation of all required Learning and Development of all MAF Fashion employees and all associated policies and procedures.

This role will also support the implementation of companywide L&D initiatives such as digital implementation in MAF Fashion.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  •  Responsible for the learning & development initiatives and full deliverable across the MAF Fashion business.
  • Create and design learning content, cultural programs and deliver trainings that address behavioral and functional skills enhancement.
  • Support the business leaders through the Performance cycle creating an understanding of clear objective setting and performance review.
  • Conduct learning needs analysis post Performance review and support the business to create development plans for their teams.
  •  Support the OHI initiative implementing it across MAF Fashion, influence a positive shift through focus group discussions, helping managers to translate the OHI results to a concrete action plan.
  • Support the MAF Talent and Leadership development agenda as the champion for 360 roll out in MAF Fashion, facilitating Top Talent programmes and being the focal point of contact for Top Talent.
  •  Manage the Mentoring programme for the business supporting with successful implementation.
  •  Develop and manage the frontline development programmes.
  • Build and nurture relationships across the L&D community within MAF to ensure economy of scale ,best practices and knowledge are being shared.
  •  Forecast and manage and ensure training costs are in line with defined budgets.
  •  Forecast and manage and track Fashion spend on welfare events and activities at Opco and Group leveled initiatives.
  •  Ensure all learning content follows the MAF guidelines and covers all relevant compliance trainings.
  •   Ensure all presentation, inductions, training and events are compliant with MAF corporate branding guidelines
  • Stay updated with relevant industry best practice learning methods.
  • Connect with staff members across the MAF Fashion business, understanding their strengths and areas of enhancement.
  • Coach and Mentor staff on a regular basis providing support for self-development and drawing on the full potential of individuals and teams.
  • Maintain professional and collaborative relationship with external vendors.

 

Functional / Technical Competencies:

 

  • Understanding of all HC verticals.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR policies and systems.
  • Familiarity with HR software and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Awareness of labour laws.

 

Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications/Education:

 

  • Graduate degree in related field.
  • Qualification in Human Resources, e.g. CIPD, SHRM.

 

Experience:

 

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in an HC role with at least 2 years of managerial experience.
  • Experience in the Retail environment is an advantage.
