Job Position – Legal Assistant

This role will provide day-to-day support across contract management, legal research, compliance monitoring, and administrative functions, working closely with in-house counsel and business stakeholders.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
-Manage end-to-end contract management, including drafting templates, reviewing agreements, approvals, tracking red lines, and maintaining contract repository and renewals.
-Support negotiations by preparing comparison drafts, consolidating commercial inputs, and ensuring final documents reflect agreed terms.
-Conduct legal research on construction/building materials related issues relevant (e.g. contract risk allocation, liability, HSE, competition, data protection) and provide clear guidance.
-Monitor compliance with internal policies and external regulations, including anti-bribery, corruption, data protection, sanctions and health & safety.
-Assist with disputes and claims management by organizing correspondence and evidence, tracking matters, liaising with external advisers, and supporting litigation preparations.
-Act as first point of contact for routine legal inquiries across departments, escalating matters when needed and maintaining response records.
-Provide administrative support to the Legal team, including meetings, minutes, expenses, and external counsel documentations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education / Professional Experience
-Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB) or equivalent plus Legal assistant or paralegal certification.
-Minimum 2 years’ Experience.
-Fluency in Arabic & English is required (Hindi is plus ).
Job Specific Competencies /Operational Knowledge:
-Experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role in construction or building materials sector, or related sectors.
-Strong knowledge of commercial & supply chain contracts including goods, services, agreements, NDAs, and ancillary documents.
-Experience in compliance monitoring and policy implementation.
-Proficient in contract management systems, Microsoft 365, and document management tools.
-Detail oriented with strong drafting, proofreading, and record-keeping skills.
-Sound judgment in identifying risks and escalating issues.
-Maintains confidentiality and adheres to professional &company standards.
