Job Position – Legal Manager

Company Name – Fam Properties

To lead and manage legal matters relating to real estate, contract law, and corporate advisory. This role is pivotal in ensuring legal soundness across operational and strategic functions while enabling risk-managed business growth.

The Legal Manager will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and regulatory bodies, providing legal support that is timely, practical, and aligned with the UAE legal framework.

Core Responsibilities

1. Contract Management

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts including brokerage agreements, partnership MOUs, commercial contracts, NDAs, and service-level agreements.
  • Maintain a suite of standardised templates and ensure legal documentation is updated in line with current laws and market practices.
  • Provide proactive legal input during deal structuring, client engagements, and cross-departmental projects.

2. Real Estate Legal Advisory

  • Assist with property disputes and legal escalations in coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

3. Corporate Legal Affairs

  • Review and advise on company formation, shareholder arrangements, resolutions, and board governance matters.
  • Ensure all corporate legal records are in order and support periodic audits or restructuring initiatives.
  • Draft and review internal corporate agreements, vendor contracts, and third-party legal documents.

4. Internal Legal Support

  • Serve as the legal point of contact for internal stakeholders on day-to-day legal queries and escalations.
  • Collaborate with other teams on strategic initiatives requiring legal input (e.g. partnerships, new service lines, or regulatory positioning).
  • Conduct internal legal awareness sessions and contribute to a knowledge-sharing environment.

Qualifications:

  • LLB required; LLM or UAE legal qualification preferred.
  • Licensed to practice or eligible under UAE regulations is advantageous.

Experience:

  • UAE-based legal experience, ideally in a real estate, legal consultancy, or corporate in-house setting.
  • Proven background in real estate law, commercial contracts, and corporate legal matters.

Skills:

  • Excellent drafting and contract negotiation abilities.
  • Strong understanding of UAE property law and regulatory frameworks.
  • Business-minded legal approach with the ability to balance risk with commercial outcomes.
  • Fluent in English (Arabic is a plus).
