Description

This role is responsible for driving traffic to Amazon by running ads on search engines including Shopping ads and Text ads in the MENA region.

It encompasses planning executing, measuring, auditing, experimenting (bidding mechanisms, elasticity tests) as well as identifying opportunities to scale and grow the channel efficiently.

This is a high-visibility position with scope for creativity and self-development. This role requires detailed understanding of digital marketing (SEM in particular) and the long-term financial impact of customer behavior trends.

We are looking for someone with a highly analytical / curious mindset to seek out new possibilities for run deep dives to refine business decisions that drive scale and efficiency.

The role will expose to the technical side of marketing as well as to the creative and experimental side, consistently using one to inform the other.

Core Responsibilities

 

  • Own Paid Search and execute as per aligned KPIs with Business team and the Finance team
  • Establish the short and long term strategy for Paid Search in conjunction with Head of Performance Marketing
  • Develop deep insights and understanding in partnership with retail teams, other marketing channel teams, and international stakeholders
  • Translate channel insights into test plans, product/feature proposals, and opportunities for optimization to drive business actions and recommendations
  • Define and run tests, including A/B experiments to test new vendor features and/or inform new product development
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to refine our understanding of the Search space and uncover optimization opportunities
  • Publish weekly/ monthly/ quarterly and other update documents on a timely basis
  • Maintain the Amazon bar on customer voice guidelines on content across Paid Search
  • Collaborate with the Central Paid Search team and other Amazon marketplaces on best practices
  • Collaborate with the Product/Tech team to improve existing tech set-up/launch new products

 

Basic Qualifications

 

  • 2+ years of marketing experience. Background in analytical positions is a plus
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Math/Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a similar field
  • Excellent business judgment and the ability to think strategically and execute methodically
  • Able to generate ideas and solve problems independently and consistent with Amazon’s core principles
  • Proven analytical and quantitative skills with a passion and aptitude for analysis and related tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – written and verbal
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across business and international teams
  • Interest in the technical aspects of digital marketing
  • Strong bias for action and sense of urgency; the ability to make things happen quickly
  • A track record of teamwork and willingness to roll up sleeves to get the job done

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

  • Experience in Paid Search Marketing or Online Marketing
  • Master’s degree Business, Marketing, Math/Statistics, Economics, Computer Science or a similar field
  • SQL knowledge
