Job Position – Plumbing Project Engineer

For a leading MEP Engineering Company in UAE.
Qualifications:
· Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Minimum 10 years’ experience in construction industry, working for reputed MEP Contractors in the UAE Result orientated, tenacious, self-motivated, strong synergy and a customer focused approach.
Key Accountabilities:
· Should have excellent knowledge of Water supply, Drainage, Natural Gas, Solar water heating systems, and Authority requirements.
· Strong Leadership skill and understanding all aspects of Construction, including Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning
· Serve as the technical expert on assigned projects, providing engineering support and direction to project team.
· Verify contract drawings, and highlight discrepancies / design issues to department Manager
· Verify contract documents, prepare RFQ, prepare comparison for vendor quotations, negotiate prices, verify compliance and recommend most suitable vendor to department Manager
· Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project stakeholders to integrate design information and resolve coordination issues.
· Actively involve in shop drawing preparation, and ensure the drawings are in line with contract requirements, codes & best practices
· Develop detailed project plans, including scope of works, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations.
· Monitor compliance to applicable codes, best practices, QA/QC policies, HSE policies, performance standards and specifications.
· Manage and prioritize the installation works according to the project baseline program.
· Prepare the daily / weekly schedule and distribute the work tasks to the teams accordingly.
· Prepare daily / weekly material list for the planned works.
· Prepare weekly / monthly progress report.
· Monitoring the material stock in coordination with the construction program and allocated budget
· Manage manpower resources, to ensure agreed productivity is obtained, and the works are completed within the allotted budget
· Identify new techniques / current trends in engineering technology and implement in Project management that may improve project efficiency or performance
. Conduct regular progress meetings with team members to identify and resolve issues.
· Conduct regular seminar/presentations to the site team about the design and engineering updates.
· Manage the procurement of materials and equipment for assigned projects.
· Manage change orders and contract modifications with sub-contractors & vendors
· Review project deliverables for accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and regulations
· Perform quality assurance reviews of project deliverables.
