Job Position – Procurement Officer

Company Name – Segrex Development

Responsible for managing and overseeing the procurement process for office domestic needs and construction projects.

-Procurement Management: Develop strategies and manage the procurement process for construction projects, including market research and supplier selection.

-Supplier Management: Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.

-Contract Management: Draft and negotiate contracts, monitor performance, and handle disputes.

-Cost Control: Monitor spending, identify savings, and manage procurement budgets.

-Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure legal and ethical compliance, assess risks, and maintain procurement integrity.

Requirements

Education:
-A bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, construction management, or a related field is required

-Higher education and professional certifications such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) are advantageous

Experience:

-A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement within the construction industry is mandatory
-Experience specifically in the UAE construction market is highly beneficial due to the local regulations and market dynamics

Knowledge:

– In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, contract management, and sourcing strategies within the construction industry
– Familiarity with local regulations, laws, and customs related to procurement and construction in the UAE is important

Skills:

– Strong negotiation and analytical skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, proficiency in using procurement software and tools, and a good understanding of cost control measures and budget management.
