Job Position – Project Accountant
Company Name – APG
Manage and oversee project contracts, monitor payments, and track project-related costs to ensure accurate financial reporting and project profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Contract Management:
– Prepare, review, and maintain project contracts in coordination with the legal or project management team.
– Ensure contract terms comply with company policies and financial procedures.
2. Payments & Collections:
– Issue client invoices based on project milestones or contract terms.
– Follow up on due payments and ensure timely collection.
– Maintain accurate records of received and outstanding amounts.
3. Cost Control & Analysis:
– Monitor and record all project-related expenses.
– Compare actual costs against budgets and identify variances.
– Prepare profitability and cost analysis reports for each project.
4. Coordination:
– Work closely with the project and finance teams to ensure data accuracy.
– Support management with financial insights and performance metrics.
5. General Accounting:
– Record journal entries and project-related transactions.
– Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial closings.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
– Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in construction, contracting, or consulting firms.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or ERP systems).
– Strong analytical and organizational skills.
– Good communication and coordination abilities.
