Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Purchasing Officer to join our restaurant team in Dubai.
The ideal candidate should have previous purchasing/procurement experience within the restaurant or F&B industry, with preference given to candidates who have experience working with Asian cuisine, Asian ingredients, and specialty food products.
Candidates must be currently available in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day purchasing of food, beverages, packaging, cleaning materials, and operational supplies.
Source products from approved and reliable suppliers while maintaining competitive prices and quality standards.
Obtain and compare supplier quotations and negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions.
Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) according to company procedures.
Coordinate closely with the Kitchen, Operations, Warehouse, and Finance teams regarding purchasing requirements.
Ensure timely delivery of all ordered products and follow up on pending orders.
Check delivered items against specifications, quantity, quality, and purchase orders.
Monitor market prices and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising product quality.
Maintain updated supplier lists, quotations, price comparisons, and purchasing records.
Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the relevant departments to avoid shortages or unnecessary overstocking.
Handle supplier issues, rejected items, shortages, and delivery discrepancies promptly.
Ensure all purchasing documentation and invoices are properly maintained.
Support management with purchasing reports, supplier evaluations, and cost analysis.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with local suppliers.
Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years of purchasing/procurement experience in restaurants or F&B.
Restaurant experience is required.
Experience with Asian cuisine or Asian food products is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of food ingredients, restaurant supplies, and local UAE suppliers.
Good understanding of purchasing procedures and inventory control.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and purchasing/inventory systems.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Good command of English.
Must be currently based in the UAE and available for an interview.
UAE restaurant/F&B experience is preferred.
