Key Responsibilities:
– Prepare bills of quantities reconciliation with respect to actual quantities.
– Prepare monthly financial and cost reports including estimates and variance reports.
– Support the Senior Quantity Surveyor (SQS) with risk, value management, and cost control.
– Measure progress of work and coordinate interim payments to contractors.
– Measure variations, quantities, and costs.
– Prepare monthly cash flow charts.
– Negotiate and agree variations for both quantities and costs.
– Review drawing issues for quantity and cost implications.
– Attend site meetings with stakeholders to discuss variations and valuations.
– Assist in evaluating claims and preparing change/variation orders.
– Attend client meetings on cost and commercial aspects.
Candidate Requirements:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying or related discipline from a recognized university.
– Professional membership with RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) is essential.
– Proven experience in construction-related quantity surveying.
– Experience in major programs (metro/rail preferred).
– Strong background in final account closing, claims, and variations.
– Knowledge of evaluating site instructions and variation orders.
– Experience in assessing and evaluating contractor claims.
– Ability to implement dispute avoidance and resolution methods.
– Proficiency in computer-based data analysis, financial reporting, and record management.
– Strong leadership and relationship-building skills across diverse teams.
– Ability to manage multiple geographically and culturally diverse teams.
