Job Position – Senior Accountant
Company Name – Gulf Navigation Holding
Location: Dubai, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
– Manage end-to-end month-end closing for multiple entities, ensuring timely, accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and complete audit-ready documentation.
– Prepare and reconcile balance sheet schedules and P&L reports, including variance analysis with clear explanations.
– Perform bank reconciliations across multiple currencies, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
– Record, reconcile, and resolve intercompany transactions, ensuring balances are accurate and fully supported.
– Handle vessel-related transactions, including voyage costs, charter income, and multi-currency accounting with proper cost tracking.
– Manage VAT processes end-to-end, including preparation, filing, documentation, and audit support.
– Prepare audit schedules, maintain audit readiness, and ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
– Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, ensuring timely, accurate postings and clearing of open items.
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
– Professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CA preferred)
– 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in shipping or maritime industry
– Strong hands-on experience in month-end closing with full supporting schedules
– Mandatory experience in VAT preparation and filing
– Experience in multi-entity and multi-currency accounting environments
– Strong knowledge of IFRS and advanced Excel skills
