Role Brief:

 

To provide specialised Technical Project Management & engineering expertise to the Projects Manager, Commissioning Manager & COO to support the growth of World Crane Services (WCS) in the field of crane refurbishments, repairs design review and associated works.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Engaging with customers to assess their technical requirements for major upgrade projects
  • Project management at customer sites for Drive and Control systems upgrades, testing and commissioning
  • Engineering, Installation & Commissioning services for Refurbishment, Modification & Service Projects
  • Design Review & Commissioning services for Third Party Inspection Projects for new builds
  • Sales networking
  • Project planning, execution, documentation & reports
  • Engineering planning with major systems suppliers – Siemens, ABB, Fuji, Yaskawa, etc.
  • Staff training
  • Ensure that the highest level of safety is applied in all WCS activities.
  • Implement and monitor a HSE compliance policy.
  • Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in harmony with DP World’s values and culture
  • Understand and adhere to DP World’s/Customers’ Code of Conduct and Ethics policies
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

 

Experience, Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • AC/DC Drives technology & Electrical control systems-Expert skill level required on major systems suppliers
  • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Crane/ Drives commissioning & automation field.
  • Experience with major systems suppliers, integrators, or crane OEMs.
