Job Position – Senior Data & Privacy Specialist

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
-Bachelor’s degree in information management, Computer Science, Law, Information Security, Business Analytics, or a related field.
-Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is strongly preferred.
-Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) – Practitioner level or above (strongly preferred).
-Certified Information Privacy Professional (CIPP/E) or Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from IAPP, or equivalent Saudi-recognised PDPL practitioner certification.
-Formal training or certification in NDMO frameworks and the National Data Index (NDI) is required.
– Additional certifications in MDM, data quality, BI platforms, or data architecture are advantageous.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
-Minimum 8 years of experience spanning data governance, data management, data privacy, and data enablement roles.
-Minimum 3 years of direct, hands-on experience implementing NDMO requirements and Saudi Arabia’s PDPL in KSA organisations.
-Demonstrated experience leading at least two end-to-end DMO establishment or data governance implementation projects.
-Demonstrated experience designing and implementing MDM/RDM frameworks in mid-to-large organisations.
-Minimum 3 years of specific, hands-on experience implementing Saudi Arabia’s PDPL, including conducting PIAs, DPIAs, and managing ROPA registers.
-Proven experience in Open Data programme management, data sharing agreement design, and API governance.
-Background in data monetisation, data product design, or data value realisation is highly preferred.
-Proven track record of engaging and influencing C-level and senior stakeholders in complex governance programmes.
-Prior experience in the aviation, transport, or VVIP services sector is a significant advantage.
-Experience in a consulting or professional services environment is preferred.
TECHNICAL SKILLS Data Governance & Frameworks
-Deep knowledge of all NDMO data management domains, standards, policies, and procedures.
-Proficiency in data governance frameworks: DAMA DMBOK, COBIT, or equivalent.
-Familiarity with data governance tooling (e.g., Collibra, Alation, IBM IGC, Microsoft Purview).
-Strong working knowledge of the NDI Index platform and evidence submission process. Data Privacy & Classification
-Comprehensive, current knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s PDPL and all executive regulations issued by SDAIA.
-In-depth knowledge of NDMO standards for Personal Data Protection and Data Classification domains.
-Proficiency with privacy management platforms (e.g., OneTrust, TrustArc, BigID, or equivalent).
-Working knowledge of DLP tools, data masking, encryption, pseudonymisation, and anonymisation techniques.
-Familiarity with international privacy regulations (GDPR) as a reference framework alongside PDPL.
