About the job

Our client a leading organization in Dubai is currently looking for a self-starter ace, As the Lead QA Engineer you’ll take ownership of driving and establishing QA processes and strategy within the team, spearheading a technical transition towards more automation in an Agile environment and supporting a regular release cycle. You’ll work closely with talented developers, the Product Owner and DevOps to streamline processes and champion best practice team environment. You will be technically skilled in software engineering and testing practices and be experienced at critical systems thinking.

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with the software/product designers to determine quality assurance parameters.
  • Leading the QA team in designing QA test procedures.
  • Overseeing the drafting of testing documents.
  • Implementing testing procedures and overseeing the QA process.
  • Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
  • Conducting analysis checks on product specifications.
  • Reviewing Quality Assurance reports.
  • Liase with other release train teams to manage the testing of cross dependencies
  • Support and enable demonstrable software for User Acceptance Testing
  • Support and engage during the operational acceptance testing phase
  • Support the Quality Assurance Engineering Manager in the coordination of major migrations activities covering data loads, data migrations, cut over activities across multiple domains and environments ensuring no customer or business impact.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years in quality assurance / testing roles with increasing responsibility, impact, and scope within a digital or ecommerce environment
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Quality Engineering lead or equivalent position looking after multiple products
  • Experience with creating and maintaining large scale test data frameworks to support test automation
  • Experience in Appium
  • Experience with developing automation frameworks from scratch built for UI and API testing and integration with CI pipelines
  • Proficiency in programming languages, preferably JavaScript and Java
  • Experience working with containers both on prem and cloud offerings (Amazon / Google)

Job Type: Long term (Annual Renewable contract)

Job Location: Dubai, UAE
