The Senior Clinical Quality Officers is responsible for supporting hospital quality improvement through engaging staff at all levels across the organization in quality management, and through the effective monitoring of agreed QPS objectives.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Supports the implementation of the Hospital specific quality improvement and patient safety plan
- Acts upon appropriate and available data to support the monitoring of both performance initiatives and quality indicators across the hospital
- Monitor and managing data collection review process.
- Analyze clinical data to optimize workflow, and ensure that technical documentation and reports are processed.
- Train staff on how to use computer systems and capture data correctly for future analysis.
- Receive and respond to requests/queries by Government and regulatory entities such as (DHCR, MOH, and DHA) in a timely and efficient manner to complete targets as assigned.
- Assists other statistics sections when required.
- Assist the Quality and patient safety team to establish hospital specific clinical and non-indicators in response to and in support of the JCI accreditation process
- Communicate quality improvement opportunities as they are identified to hospital staff
- Actively lead or assist activities in the areas of Internal Quality Control and Audits, CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions), Quality Management Reviews, and Quality Audits.
- Liaise and assist as needed, Customer Experience in complex medical complaints
- To edit and manage the quality manual and quality management documentation.
- To manage, coordinate and approve procedures, instructions, and other documents related to quality management.
- To plan quality improvement and patient safety activates and implements quality and safety policies in accordance with JCI.
- To provide advice and support to staff on systems and quality matters, ensuring that staff is properly briefed so that targets and objectives can be met.
- Make recommendations to the management as required and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- To maintain the confidentiality of all medical and legal information.
Education/Qualification:
- Essential – Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Nursing, Healthcare Administration or related fields.
- Preferred – Certified CPHQ, understanding of basic statistics
Experience:
- Essential – Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a healthcare.
- Preferred – Minimum 1-year experience in Health Information Management or Quality Management
Certificate and Licensure:
- Preferred- Certified CPHQ
