Job Position – Senior Regulatory Accountant

-The Senior Regulatory Accountant is responsible for assisting the Regulatory Financial Review Section Head in managing the review and/or approval of the sector subsidy budget, as well as reviewing financial statements and financial performance in accordance with the regulations, codes, and standards applicable to licensed entities or new license applicants.
-In addition, the Senior Regulatory Accountant is in charge of overall oversight and evaluation of the financial performance and health of licensed companies operating in the sector.
-Furthermore, the Senior Regulatory Accountant shall review the audited financial statements of existing licensed companies in order to ensure compliance with regulations, financial and accounting standards, and to assess their resources in order to continue providing secure and efficient services to customers.
-Additionally, the Senior Regulatory Accountant is responsible for developing or approving appropriate financial frameworks and methodologies for the sector’s use.
Requirement:
-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline, e.g., Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics
-Minimum of 3 – 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
-Deep understanding of the financial activities of the licensed companies within the energy sector.
-Deep understanding of the energy sector, in Abu Dhabi and the UAE
-Thorough knowledge and experience of financial management and investment analysis and due diligence.
-Comprehensive knowledge of best practice financial reporting, budgeting, and auditing.
