Job Position – Sr. Accountant
Company Name – Bayanat Engineering
Male Candidate with 7 to 8 years of experience.
Key Responsibilities
General Ledger & Financial Reporting
Maintain accurate GL records, ensuring proper classification, posting, and reconciliation of transactions.
Execute month-end closing activities, including accruals, provisions, cost allocations, and management reporting.
Post recurring journal entries and ensure timely and accurate ledger maintenance.
Support year-end closing and audit finalization activities.
Project Accounting / Job Costing
Maintain detailed cost records for all ongoing projects, including accounting of subcontractor progress and related expenses.
Review and analyse project cost variances, reporting financial insights to project and management teams.
Collaborate with procurement and project departments to validate project-related expenditures and commitments.
Accounts Payable
Process and validate supplier invoices in alignment with GRNs, POs, and job codes to ensure accurate cost allocation.
Verify documentation and payment terms and perform supplier account reconciliations.
Ensure timely approvals and oversee payment scheduling in accordance with company policy.
Banking & Trade Finance
Manage daily banking operations, including fund transfers, payment processing, and bank reconciliations.
Handle trade finance instruments such as Letters of Credit (LC), Trust Receipts (TR), Performance Bonds (PB), and Advance Payment Guarantees (APG), including documentation, submission, and closure.
Monitor bank facility utilization, ensuring accurate accounting of related charges and securities.
Compliance & Audit
Prepare VAT reconciliations and ensure accurate and timely VAT return filing under UAE FTA guidelines.
Support internal and external audits through preparation of schedules and required documentation.
Maintain and enhance internal controls, ensuring compliance with financial governance standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Professional qualification CA Inter preferred (ACCA/CPA Foundation an added advantage).
5–7 years of relevant accounting experience in a project-based technical/engineering environment.
Strong experience in GL accounting, job costing, monthly closing, and AP processing (GRN/PO-based).
Working knowledge of trade finance instruments (LC, TR, PB, APG).
Proficient in ERP(preferably Epromis)/accounting systems with advanced MS Excel skills.
Solid understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and attention to detail.
