Overview
Provide Vision and technical leadership to help design, develop and implement the next generation of geospatial implementations using cutting-edge Esri technologies for customers in the Middle East and Africa.

Responsibilities
- Advise customers in implementing innovative GIS solutions using Esri technology and in recommending the appropriate design, architecture and implementation best practices.
- Provide hands-on leadership to a diverse team of technical consultants throughout the entire GIS engagements life cycle including requirements gathering, workload estimation, technical risk management, analysis, design, build/configuration and testing.
- Provide Guidance and mentoring to junior technical team members.
- Provide technical expertise for proposals and participate in the costing/scoping process.
- Coordinate with customers and various professional services teams to ensure successful implementations.
- Regularly engage with project and program managers to provide technical guidance and follow-up until successful deployment, delivery, and transfer of knowledge
Requirements
- A minimum of ten years in designing, implementing and administering complex enterprise GIS solutions using Esri technologies including: desktop, server and online.
- Deep understanding of the GIS concepts and how to apply them to solve complex business problems
- Deep technical understanding of the Esri ArcGIS platform including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online
- Demonstrable ability to evaluate and translate a customer’s business goals, objectives, and strategies into technical plans and solutions
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability and willingness to interface and communicate with clients
- Be self-motivated, a proactive problem solver, team-oriented, and creative
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse team
- Professional proficiency the English language, both writing and speaking.
- Ability to master new technology quickly and to work in a constantly changing environment
- Entrepreneurial attitude and willingness to learn—you must thrive in a dynamic cross-functional team environment
- Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, engineering, mathematics, GIS, or a related field
Recommended Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience with software engineering and/or robust application development principles and practices
- Experience with ArcGIS, location-based services, geo-enabled apps, spatial analytics, or similar geospatial technology
- Experience with current technology implementation patterns including service-oriented and cloud computing architecture
- Proposal writing experience, including preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of services, staffing, and pricing
- Knowledge of or experience in implementing GIS software in national and local government
- Fluent in speaking and writing Arabic is desirable
