Job Position – Accounts Assistant

Duties and Responsibilities:
Ledger Management:
1. Prepare journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial data in the general ledger.
2. Reconcile accounts and investigate discrepancies to maintain the integrity of financial
records.
3. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
Accounts Payable (AP) Support:
1. Process vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment requests in a timely manner.
2. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any payment discrepancies.
3. Communicate with vendors regarding payment inquiries and build positive relationships.
Accounts Receivable (AR) Assistance:
1. Assist in posting customer payments and applying them to the correct accounts.
2. Generate customer invoices and statements accurately and promptly.
3. Follow up on overdue accounts and support collections efforts as needed.
Financial Reporting:
1. Prepare various financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash
flow statements.
2. Assist in preparing financial analysis and variance reports to support management
decision-making.
Compliance and Auditing:
1. Ensure compliance with accounting principles, local regulations, and internal policies.
2. Assist in preparing documentation for internal and external audits.
3. Process Improvement:
4. Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
5. Implement best practices to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
