Job Position – Category Manager
Company Name – EmiraTalent
(UAE National Position), Dubai, UAE: client, a full service distributor, managing and controlling the entire distribution value chain, with services covering supply chain, logistics
The desired individual will be able to deliver profitable sales and market share on the designated brands by developing plans and providing best in class on-shelf and off-shelf tools to Field Execution/Head Office sales teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Management
Daily SPOC for Supplier Category Manager
Works towards the mutual goal of growing business
Drives joint strategies towards growing share & fundamentals
Plans how to drive customer growth based on regular customer requirements
Financial Management
Ensures strict financial discipline adhering to Companies/Supplier’s Standard Operating Procedure
Manages all claims for suppliers are collected on time
Develops plans to maximize return across all channels to drive spending efficiency
Category Management
Develops category knowledge among the sales teams & field-operations teams
Designs with sales teams the Joint Deployment Plans to drive brand growth in retailers on a quarterly basis
Educates & Energizes sales teams on new product launches
Drives in-store deployment of initiatives and planograms across the trade
Provides any necessary tools to help drive brand & category growth to the sales teams
Ensures regularly updating the Must Stock List, Brand Planograms and Initiative Planograms through MyStore/Aforza
platform
Visits the market regularly to spot opportunities for growth as well as in-store brand training for the sales/operations
teams
Collaborates with the business analytics team to ensure category customer insights are translated into robust strategies
and tactics linked to specific metrics
keeps up to date with market developments, consumer trends and competitor strategies
Forecasting Management
Ensures Brand Inventory is in line with overall contractual while minimizing Non-Performing Inventory
Provides Supply team with detailed volume sales forecast based on the aligned sales plan with Suppliers.
Role Requirements
UAE National with Family Book
Academic Education & Professional Certifications Operational & Managerial Experience
Graduate Degree in Marketing / Management and / or
related field
2-3 years of Customer Business Development experience
