Open Position : Chief Accountant – Bilingual –
Work location Abu Dhabi
Essential Job Functions
• Maintain and review financial records and other relevant documentation
• Assist in ensuring adherence to internal control and compliance procedures
• Record and reconcile all assigned company transactions
• Participate in the publishing of month-end information and monthly closing of financial records
• Preparing annual audits
• Identify and fix financial discrepancies, assess the company monthly cash flow, analyze payroll reports, and examine budget vs. forecast variances to prepare monthly financial reports that assist senior management in making informed business decisions
• Assist in the preparation of the company balance sheet, income statements, and other financial documentation for submission to senior management .
• Perform all other relevant duties as assigned by Finance manager
Key Abilities
• Strong analytical acumen for managing large quantities of data with accuracy
• Superb understanding of accounting and financial best practices and principles
• Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written
• Effective organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in navigating ERP systems (Advanced User)
• Strong emphasis and ability to maintain confidentiality and operate with a high level of integrity
• Strong prioritization skills and proactivity in delivering results
• Highly numerate individual
• High level of responsibility both for accomplishing key deliverables as well as for setting a positive example for the Junior Accountants
Professional Experience
• Minimum of Ten (10) years of experience in accounting
• Minimum five (6) years of experience in cooperate comp level
Education & Certifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, etc.)
Other Requirements
• Fluency (both oral and written) in both English and Arabic is must
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) system.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and practices
• In-depth experience in consolidated reporting, risk analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
