About the job

Our client is a leading, innovative and award-winning financial institution in the Middle East. This year, in order to accelerate their digital transformation program, they have set up a modern, digitally-led cloud center to help the organisation leverage big data, analytics and AI.

As a result, they now need a Cloud Architect to lead all cloud projects, create cloud blueprints and evaluate all new services launched by Cloud providers.

As a Cloud Architect, you will also be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing cloud optimization reports and working with all application stakeholders to optimise Cloud costs
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate these into cloud products / blueprints
• Collaborate closely with the Cloud engineering team to ensure you’re translating business requirements into technical ones
• Provide guidance to the Head of Cloud on technical challenges, risks and new initiatives

As a Cloud Architect, you will have the following skills/ experience:

• At least 12 years’ experience in IT infrastructure services and at least 5 years’ in a Cloud architecture/ solution design role
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• Certificate in Azure architecture (AZ-303, AZ-304)
• Proven experience in optimising cloud costs
• Proven experience in transforming legacy applications to cloud-native architectures
• Excellent understanding of cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes, AKS, Containers
• Strong knowledge of Cloud Security including Data, Network, Identity and Applications
• Proven experience in designing cloud blueprints, migration planning and migration methodologies
• Strong understanding of designing scalable microservices applications on Cloud

Desired Skills and Experience

Certificate in Azure architecture (AZ-303, AZ-304)
