Job Position – Collection Executive

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Follow-Up:
Contact customers to remind them of overdue payments through phone calls, emails, and other communication methods.
Assist customers with payment inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the collection process.
Maintain a professional and courteous tone when communicating with customers to foster good relationships.
Cash Receivables Management:
Monitor and track customer accounts to identify overdue invoices.
Update and maintain customer records in the system, ensuring accurate and up-to-date account information.
Assist in preparing aged receivables reports and maintain collection records.
Payment Reminder and Negotiation:
Send payment reminders to customers according to the company’s collections procedures and timelines.
Work with customers to negotiate payment terms if required, while ensuring that payment deadlines are met.
Offer flexible payment options where applicable to facilitate timely collections.
Reporting and Documentation:
Provide daily or weekly updates to the Collection Manager on the status of overdue accounts.
Prepare and maintain reports on payment status, customer communications, and collection efforts.
Ensure all communications are documented and tracked in the collections system.
Collaboration with Internal Teams:
Work closely with the Sales, Customer Service, and Finance teams to resolve customer issues that might delay payments.
Escalate issues to senior collection staff or management if payment collection becomes difficult or if there are disputes.
Customer Relationship Management:
Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage timely payments.
Offer support to customers during the payment process to address any concerns or obstacles.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is a plus.
Experience:
5 years of experience in collections, accounts receivable, or customer service roles.
Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions.
Skills:
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Experience with accounting software or ERP systems is an advantage.
