Job Position – Counsellor

Will implement a comprehensive counselling programme supporting students’ personal, social, emotional, and behavioural development. The role involves working closely with students, parents, staff and senior leadership to promote wellbeing and safeguard all learners.
Key Responsibilities
– Provide short-term individual, group and crisis counselling
– Support students with social, emotional and behavioural needs
– Contribute to safeguarding and child protection procedures
– Collaborate with SEND, SLT, teachers and parents to develop support plans
– Support student leadership and student voice initiatives
– Deliver parent workshops and wellbeing awareness sessions
– Liaise with external agencies where appropriate
– Maintain accurate documentation and referral reports
– Contribute to whole-school wellbeing programmes and the School Development Plan
The Ideal Candidate
– Qualified School Counsellor with relevant accreditation
– Experience working within a school setting
– Strong understanding of safeguarding practices
– Excellent interpersonal, mediation and communication skills
– Committed to student wellbeing and professional growth
