Job Position – Desktop Support Engineers

Responsible for tier 1 basic level support for Head Office and branch offices.
Maintain and develop a relationship with IT service providers to ensure prompt resolution to complaints on hardware / Software related issues.
Responsible for closing IT-related tickets as quickly as possible and to the satisfaction of the end user.
Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, printers and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
Raise purchase requisitions in case of new requirements (upon receiving duly approved IT Requirement Form) and submit it to the Line Manager for approval.
Be able to fix minor repairs/ changes/ installations/ configurations of systems and equipment.
Report user’s concerns/complaints in relation to Hardware / Software to Line Manager as required.
Submit monthly summary of help desk incidents to the Line Manager for review and improvement in services.
Maintain inventory of IT assets for Head Office / branch offices (along with IT Asset Receipts and IT Requirement
Forms) and periodically report on capacity management and obsolescence.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Direct Manager
Qualifications
Education/ Qualification
Diploma in Computer, IT or related field with Advanced IT Certification
Full driving license is must.
Work Experience
2 years minimum experience in IT industry as IT Support or Desktop SupportOfficer.
Knowledge
Excellent technical knowledge of pcs and desktop hardware.
Knowledge of all software applications used within the organization.
Microsoft Desktop Support Technician an advantage.
Familiar with latest know-how in the IT, Hardware, Software, Gadgets etc.
Skills
Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Must be innovative with a high degree of initiative and a positive attitude and a
desire for continuous learning to keep abreast with the industry.
