Job Position – Document Controller
Company Name – RTC Road and Traffic Engineering
Location: Dubai, UAE
Key Responsibilities:
-Establish and maintain an effective document control system for the project.
-Manage all incoming and outgoing correspondence, technical documents, drawings, reports, and transmittals.
-Register, classify, distribute, track, and archive project documents in accordance with project procedures.
-Maintain the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) and ensure accurate document indexing and retrieval.
-Ensure that only the latest approved revisions of documents and drawings are distributed and used.
-Monitor document revisions, version control, and document status throughout the project lifecycle.
-Prepare and maintain document registers, drawing registers, correspondence logs, and transmittal logs.
-Coordinate with engineers, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and project teams regarding document submissions and approvals.
-Ensure all project documentation complies with client requirements, ISO standards, and company procedures.
-Prepare weekly and monthly document control reports for management.
-Maintain confidentiality and security of all project documentation.
-Archive project records upon completion in accordance with company policies.
-Assist the Project Manager and Engineering Team with document-related activities.
-Support internal and external audits related to document management.
-Ensure timely submission of documents to clients and authorities.
Qualification Requirements
-Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
-Minimum 8 years of experience in Document Control for Infrastructure Projects.
-Minimum 3 years of relevant UAE experience in a similar role.
-Hands-on experience using Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS).
-Experience working on infrastructure, road, highway, bridge, or utility projects is preferred.
