Job Description :
Policies & Procedures:
The Estimation Engineer:
-To co-ordinate Planning & Estimation Manager to review project specification
-To determine the materials, quantity of materials and manpower required for project completion
-Assist Planning & Estimation Manager in preparing the technical section of Tender Synopsis.
-Undertake a detailed study of the Tender
-Assist in site survey, if required
-Estimate requirement and costs of resources for relevant sections/work areas of a bid:
– Equipment / Manpower / Materials
– Subcontractors / Personnel Administration
– Site mobilization /demobilization
– Site operating and administration
– Any other cost required for project execution
-To complete the technical bid and commercial bid on time
-Assist in compiling and presenting Preliminary and Final presentation of estimate to Contracts Manager / Planning & Estimation Manager /General Manager.
-Assist in incorporate changes and bid price decided by Planning & Estimation Manager.
-To determine the legal requirements and liabilities
-To coordinate with project manager regarding technical aspects of project execution while estimating the project cost
-Assist in assessing risks and deviations and exceptions for the Tender
-To coordinate with purchaser to obtain the materials cost
-Attend a cross functional meeting to discuss tender details, clarifications required and work schedules
-To get the feedback from the project manager regarding previous projects
-To coordinate with project manager regarding project actual cost & compare against the estimated cost
-Assist in handover to the Project Team
-Provide clarifications to project staff in case of any doubts
-100 % Compliance of Company’s QHSE rules and regulations.
