Job Position – Estimation Manager
Company Name – NCC Emirates
Location – Abu Dhabi.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
– Review geotechnical reports, soil investigation data, and topographical information for estimation accuracy.
-Lead and manage the complete estimation process for civil works in substation projects (11kV to 400kV).
– Review tender drawings, BOQs, specifications, and client requirements. Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, manpower, equipment, subcontracting, and indirect costs.
– Coordinate with engineering, procurement, planning, and construction teams during bid preparation.
– Analyze tender risks, contractual requirements, and project scope gaps.
– Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
– Prepare technical and commercial bid submissions within deadlines.
– Lead tender kick-off meetings and coordinate responsibilities among departments.
– Develop rate analysis and productivity norms for civil activities.
– Conduct site visits and pre-bid meetings when required.
– Support management during negotiations and clarifications with clients.
– Maintain estimation databases, historical costs, and benchmarking records.
– compliance with ADNOC, TRANSCO/TAQA, ADDC, AADC, and other UAE utility standards where applicable.
– Manage end-to-end tendering activities for substation civil works projects.
– Analyze tender scope, commercial terms, and technical requirements.
– Coordinate internal kick-off meetings for tender allocation and planning.
– Track win/loss analysis and recommend improvements for future tenders.
– Prepare tender handover documents after project award.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. – PMP certification is an advantage.
– Quantity Surveying or Estimation-related certifications preferred.
– Minimum 15 years of experience in civil estimation for power or substation projects.
– Minimum 5 years in a managerial or lead estimation role. Strong experience in UAE market.
– Familiarity with utility authority standards and tendering procedures in Abu Dhabi.
